Hello, crafty friends! Today's card is super-special to me. My daughter-in-law is expecting our grandson and this is her babyshower card. He is due in two months and we are so excited to welcome another boy to the family!! I made this card with products from Spellbinders' Classic Pooh collection. The baby's nursery is decorated in classic Pooh, so these items were perfect!

I began by using the dies in Kanga & Roo Characters Etched Dies. This sweet highchair had some depth and dimension added by ink blending a little Vintage Photo Distress Ink onto brown cardstock with a detail blending brush from Altenew. I focused on the areas in the background to make them appear further away.

Here are the components for Kanga and Roo. I cut them from light brown, medium brown, and black cardstocks from Gina K and Hero Arts.

Assembled Kanga and Roo. I ink blended with the same detailed blending brushes with Distress Inks: Tea Dye and Ground Espresso. I used Gina K Connect Glue Matte to adhere the pieces.

Here, I embossed four panels of Neenah Classic Crest Cover Solar White 80lb Cardstock with Spellbinders' Classic Pooh Baby Blocks 3D Embossing Folder. I needed four because I had one for the background panel and the others to cut out the letters for 'baby boy'.

I took the first panel and used a brayer from Tim Holtz and Altenew Sea Glow ink to make the letters pop with blue. This is the panel before I trimmed it down to 5"x7".

I used a simple, one-inch punch to punch out the letters and bees from the blocks.

Here is the trimmed-down panel with the letters I punched out adhered. I think it turned out so cute!

I don't use my Spellbinders' BetterPress often. I need to use it more! Here is the Sweet Sentiments Press + Foil Plate & Die Set Plate attached to the base of the unit. It is magnetic and your plate does not move, even after several presses with the platen. The BetterPress gives crisper results than even red rubber stamps!

One of the things I love about this set is that it is one plate and one die. You end up with four different sentiments with just one cut! I chose the sentiment: Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.

Finished card. I love how this scene turned out! Mother and child in a sweet moment. I hope my son and daughter-in-law like it!
