Hello, crafty friends! It's almost February and love is in the air! I started out making this as a Valentine for my husband, but shifted gears when it came out more formal. Today, I have a beautiful card with lots of sparkle and shine. I love these elegant swans from Spellbinders! They came together really easily. Follow along for a step-by-step tutorial where I'll share what products I used and how I used them to make this card for my husband for our anniversary.

I started out with this awesome Double Stitched Heart Die from Waffle Flower Crafts and champagne glitter cardstock from Altenew. I love the elongated shape and stitching this heart has.

I cut these gorgeous swans from Spellbinder's Heart Swans die set. 99% of the time I die cut white cardstock and ink blend on top of it, to get personalized results. Here, the swan is mostly white, so I used my favorite, Neenah Classic Crest Cover Solar White 110lb cardstock for the white. I used Lawn Fawn's Metallic Gold for under the wings and the crowns, Hero Arts Pitch Black for the eyes and basal knobs, and orange cardstock from my stash for the beaks.

I diecut the leaves and flower parts from the same glitter cardstock as the heart and gold cardstock and the one used on the swan. These are also from the Heart Swan die set from Spellbinders.

Completed swans. These were so fun and easy to assemble! I put the gold wings under the white ones offset a little, just to give a hint of gold. I love all the texture and detail that the dies produce!

Assembled flowers. I mixed the two metals to add interest to the project.

For the card base, I chose Gina K's Heavy Ivory Cardstock. I felt the soft neutral would make the swans pop without too much contrast. I stamped my sentiment in Lisa Horton's Solid Gold Metallic Ink. The sentiment is from Waffle Flower's Overlapping Love Additions Stamp Set.

I adhered the heart above the sentiment with glue and the swans with thin foam squares and glue.

Finished card. I added some of the flowers and leaves to the one swan and around the sentiment. I have leftover flowers, but I usually do! I love to cut with dies and I find myself cutting extras all the time. I keep them with the die set so I will have them in the future. I hope you like this card as much as I do! For more Cut It Up!
